InstantGo (formerly known as Connected Standby) is a true smart Windows 10/8 feature that allows your computer to maintain a network connectionafter the display is turned off in sleep mode. However, any attempt to properly disable InstantGo is likely to incredibly disable normal sleep / wake, as most devices that support Connected Sleep do not support traditional sleep options.
If you have InstantGo, you must continue to activate it. Follow the instructions:
- Open it in Registry Editor. Access the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Power
- In the Even side box, double-click CsEnabled and set the value to 1.
- When ready, close Registry Editor and restart your computer.
If your system uses an unbranded driver display, the sleep option may disappear from the power options menu. You will need to download and install the latest Hang driver from the manufacturers on the website.

My sleep button is inactive, how do I activate it? Process activation refers to the sleep option in Windows 7 right next to the bottom menu, it’s simple.
Activate “sleep Mode”
1. Download the Activate Sleep.zip file. Save the zip file to your desktop.
4. When prompted, click Run, Window – Yes (UAC), Registry Editor Window – Yes and OK to make the change.
6. Now, if you want, you can delete someone else’s zip and .reg files.
If That Doesn’t Work:
1. Download the display driver from the company’s website and install it in the most innovative way.
2. Run Command Prompt as Administrator and type powercfg / hibernate on
If you run powercfg from the command line – for example it should be that hibernation was reset from hibernationai and it is now supported.
