Smart Lan is not something you turn on or off at all, it’s right here and you can use it to test your network cable. Usually you just select the test route in the BIOS. *Edit. I just consulted with you and it is likely that Gigabyte has a new SMART LAN feature on some of its cards that comes back to save power.

I downloaded the Realtek gigabit driver again and I had to click Sort and it seemed to work
Not sure why, but running these BIOS settings seems to have tricked my computer, or this router put me in blacklist blocked for an hour 
(the blocking option wasnot available, so a similar driver was already on the old system)
I connected my computer via USB and in the meantime it worked fine. Anyway, if you have a gigabyte laptop, don’t start SMART LAN unless someone really has a problem!

So, now I’m playing in BIOS and settings, I can’t connect to the Internet …

SMART LAN: This will be diagnosed on the built-in LAN ports on your motherboard. Built-in Boot ROM over LAN: Contrary to what you might have guessed, this is not a living space for booting your PC through a LAN port. Integrated SATA / IDE device: Includes SATA ports on the motherboard.
SMART LAN: I ran this method and it showed the length and speed of the cable (I think this is the reason)
HDD Smart: Enabled
IDE: Disabled

What I have tried may
reset CMOS, reset BIOS to default settings
try to fix XP, could not get new IP address
PC recovered, same problem
gigabyte card Ethernet deactivated, always reactivated, no change
running under Windows7,

Currently I have reset my modem and router, replaced the classic CAT cable and connected it directly to your modem. Internet works, I print on Macintosh

I doubt my onboard Ethernet did not break during this smart LAN test.
Should there be anything on the market? reset after starting SMART LAN?
Is it safe to flash the BIOS settings?
