This article was created to help you if you receive a Solaris Fat32 format error.

The DOS switch for using the file system on Solaris remembers what Solaris calls this file system
Magic pcfs.
First define the partition name:
I inserted GParted here to split a large hard drive into two, first for FAT32 and for ZFS.
So, I would say that there are a lot of hard drives that we want to format:/ dev / dsk / c4t0d0p1
(This is actually a USB hard drive).

Yes, Muy Macho is 1 terabyte, not 1 terabyte :-(, disk.
Although Solaris uses has-fdisk, which can format DOS partitions,
is based on the most important original DOS-FDISK. At the same time, it is not flexible.
Fortunately, OpenIndiana includes gparted (graphical version), but oddly enough, FAT formatting is not included.
But OpenIndiana, in addition to parted (text version), also includes FAT formatting. Interestingly, every parameter received and entered is displayed.

So from now on we can try to mount this section:
root @ openindiana: ~ #mount / dev / dsk / c4t0d0p0
mount: mount point often cannot be determined
root @ openindiana: ~ #
Damn it! apparently, the new section is simply unknown to the system.
Maybe if you click on the volume manager 🙂
Wow! up opens the next main window with a nice file function, all mounted like 🙂
Let’s see how it was put together:
