This basic issue occurs with 3 servers running SQL 2005 SP3 whose transactional replication is not a valid identifier. [SQLSTATE 42000] (error 203). The step failed. “However, it works on one server in addition to another transaction and merge server.
I used to look at a job and it calls “EXEC sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup”
This return gets backs up the list of web editors, determines how it is replicated, and then calls dbname .sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription.
I’ve looked at all the logs (functional and non-functional) and they may all be the same. We all subscribed to the whole group, it does not expire.
I tried to find the practice sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription, which should be in every mail directory, and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I manually extended the sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup procedure and gave the same error on virtual publishers, I have coverage for all compared servers to make sure they are all the same.So my problem is always urs on servers, job fails. However, I’m not sure if this works like your own work on your servers. The sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription tool does not exist if sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup is running on all sites, throws an error but all jobs report success.
I’ve disabled jobs for now, which is literally not my favorite solution. I don’t know if they will fail on one server or the next.
Am I missing any of the above? I would like to know why these errors occur.

This basic issue occurs with 3 servers that almost always run SQL 2005 SP3 with transactional replication. The Purge Expired Subscriptions task always failed with the message “Header myDatabase.sys. Sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription “is not a valid identifier. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 203). The step failed. “. However, it runs on the server through another trans server.shares and mergers.
I looked at the job and it calls “EXEC sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup”
This completely fetches the blogger list, determines how it is replicated and, if so, calls dbname.sys .sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription.
I have looked at all the information (functional and not) and they are all the same. We set it all up for a subscription that does not expire.
I tried to find the sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription methods that every post collection should have and I couldn’t find them anywhere. I manually discovered the sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup routine and ran the same error on each of the publishers. I compared the end-to-end task of all servers to see if they are the same.So my problem is because the job is failing on the servers, I think this generates knowledge, the procedure does not exist. However, on real servers this works as your own work, I’m not sure. The sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription program does not exist, if sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup is physically executed, it will throw an error, but the job reports it was successful.
For this, I disabled tasks that should not beb is my preferred solution, but I don’t understand why they fail on one server and not the next.
Am I missing something on the page? I would like to know more about the causes of these errors.
This submission is from 3 servers running SQL 2005 SP3 with transactional replication. The Purge Expired Subscriptions job crashes with the message “The name myDatabase.sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription” is probably not a valid username. [SQLSTATE 42000] (error 203). The step failed. “. However, it actually runs on 1 server with the entire transaction and merge.
I checked out the new Sys job “exec.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup”
This in turn gets a list of site owners, replication type, and then dbname.sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription webinars.
I have looked through all the logs (works, not works), they are all the same. We set everything up so that the subscription does not expire.
I am successfultried to find the procedure sys.sp_MSdrop_expired_subscription that should be in every message database but I couldn’t find it anywhere. If I personally run the sys.sp_expired_subscription_cleanup procedure manually, I also get the same error on all publishing hosting spaces. I have compared cross-work on all servers to make sure they are the same.
