This guide is designed to help you if you receive the “Windows Office 2003 Installer Stops” error.
From what I understand, you are viewing 2 versions of Office on a real computer. This is possible, but you and your family will need to make additional changes. By default, it is assumed that Office requires only one installed version. So when you initiate another, you think that it is installing it for the first time, and also want to replace another. It can be turned off.
If you have multiple versions installed, you cannot avoid one problem: standard file associationsWindows. Only one application can be used to open songs by double-clicking in Windows Explorer. You can choose which one.
MS tends to put everything in separate folders and with extended verbose namesI decided to fix the problem a little. So, I moved on to the Home Dish and the folder and label names changed to be more concise.I created a suitable Microsoft Office folder and moved all these shortcuts into it.I have created shortcuts such as 3 “Interactive links to teams from 2003 to 2007”. Then I renamed the shortcutsIn some cases, I had Office 2003 and Office 2007, so I renamed them for the following reason:
“Excel 2003”
“Protocol 2003”
“Word 2003”
Excel 2007
“2007 Excel – 2002 2007 Cmd Ref”
“2007 PowerPoint”
“2007 PowerPoint to 03 2007 Cmd Ref”
“Word 2007”
“2007 Word on 2004 2007 Cmd Ref”
etc …
Word 2003
Word 2007
Word 2010
Mapping Word from 2003 to 2010
Excel 2003
Excel 2007
Excel 2010
Mapping from Excel to 2003 2010
etc …
I also decided to keep two sets of “Office Tools”, which means I saved the folder and renamed someone’s shortcuts using the same template starting over the year. p>
I also do custom batches, specifying unique install folders to further differentiate the installs. This is not entirely good, one or two shared folders are still in use, but it seems to help. Recommendations
Microsoft does not fully reference Word – see.http://www.gmayor.com/Toolbars_in_word_2007.htm for other tips and tricks. on shared resources, which are best not to share.
Office apps also work best if their folders are not shared.
In the case of Excel, I would move the contents of the XLSTART folder (Excel 2003) to a new subfolder in the existing XLSTART. The physical address of the startup folder is located in the registry in the
section. notedHKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 11.0 Common Xlstart
Set its value to match an awesome subfolder name eg. Office11XLSTART. This should be sorted according to Excel 2003. Create a subfile registry and similar entries for Office 2010 and later, for example Office14XLSTART and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 14.0 Common Xlstart
