This guide is intended for recovering discs on eMachines computers with the following versions of Windows: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Hard drive recovery is also called recovery drive, authorization drive, boot drive, or hot spare.
eMachines Inc. was acquired by Gateway in 2004 and Gateway Computers was acquired by Acer in 2007.

Load Recovery Disc To Get EMachines
If your computer’s recovery partition is damaged or damaged, you need to download Easy Recovery Essentials to make it compatible with eMachines computers running Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 higher.

Create A Recovery Disc In Windows XP
If you do not have the software provided by eMachines for the recovery phase, please download our eMachines repair disc.
You can share a Windows XP recovery disc on your eMachine computer if you have installed the exact eMachines software that actually allows you to create on discs.
The following steps may vary slightly depending on your computer model:
- Run on Windows XP
- Search for eMachines Recovery Management (via> Launch All Programs).
- Click on “Create factory settings”.
- Insert the required CDs or DVDs into your computer’s optical drive and click “Start” to start.
- Follow the instructions in the app to complete the process.
Create A Recovery CD In Windows Vista
If you do not have the recovery software provided by eMachines, please download our custom recovery and recovery disc for eMachines.
For a Windows Vista recovery disc to work with your eMachines computer, you must select the Windows Vista boot option to successfully run the recovery management software:
- Start your favorite system.
- Click Start.
- Select eMachines> Manage eMachines Recovery.
- Click Create Factory Defaults.
- Depending on the media (CD or DVD) you want to use, the software tells the client how many CDs or DVDs the client needs to complete the creation process.
- Click Start.
- If prompted, remove CD or DVD # 1, and insert the nextNext CD or DVD by pressing OK.
- Remove the last CD or DVD and close the recovery manager.
- Strategy completed.
Create A Recovery Drive In Windows 7
If you do not have system recovery software provided by eMachines, please download our eMachines recovery and recovery disc.
To create a recovery disc for Windows 7, use the recovery management software installed by eMachines on your computer:
- Click Start.
- Go to all programs
- Find the eMachines folder.
- Start the eMachines Recovery Management application.
- Click “Restore Factory Settings”.
- Insert the first blank CD or just DVD and select your optical drive
- Click Start.
- Wait for the process to finish
- When prompted by our software, insert more CDs or DVDs until the process is complete and click OK to load each CD or DVD.
