Plasma cutter without blow and
No arc between pins
No bows to friends. When I removed the ring, there is a whirling bow here. While the arc can sometimes cut or melt metal, this cutting process is never right as plasma cutting requires a diamond ring vortex. I replaced all components – three tips / nozzle, vortex ring and electrode, adjusted the compressed air flow to different levels and removed the bowl for testing. However, I did not find any burned out or circuit components.
The resistance gets very hot
The plasma cutter does not work and the resistance gets very hot.

Do you need a tank?
Is a brake cap (shield) required when starting a plasma torch with 30 amps or less?
If you want to drag, you’ll need a drag and drop trick. As a general rule of thumb, if you plan on cutting more than 40A, it is advisable to use good drag protection to lengthen the cleats every day.
Troubleshooting AHP 60
Irregularities in the cutting surface
I see problems on the cut surface and they can only occur on one axis. What could be the reason?
This problem can be caused by a worn fog nozzle, large torch spacing (arc voltage), high amperage, insufficient gas flow, or low speed. This problem can be caused by economical torch positioning (arc voltage), insufficient amperage, very high gas flow, or high speed.

When it comes to plasma cutters, is actually better in general ( The only exception to this method is if you need a very clean For example, get an illustration ) . It doesn’t matter what the manufacturer states on their sales page. Seriously, the machine may simply not have enough momentum to get the job done.
So make sure you don’t exceed the amount of metal you think you are cutting. Buying a milling cutter is a step forward. At least a 1/2 ” or 50TB amplifier cutter (and a suitable compressor for air and pollutants). Anything less and you’ll probably be limited to cutting sheet metal.
You may also find that the amount of supplies saved over the year by using a higher quality machine pays for the larger unit.
Insufficient or too high air pressure
If in doubt, read all operating instructions and ensure that the air pressure is optimal for our amperage. Each knife will be different, so it is recommended that you check my recommended air pressure settings.
Barometric pressure too high
If the pressure is too high, Iwould say it will dissolve the arc column and reduce the performance of my plasma arc.
-
Air compressor pressure
-
Pressure between air filter and air compressor
- < p> If air and dirt are present, the filter relief valve is defective or possibly set too high
Air pressure too low
In this case, it is impossible to form an excellent plasma arc. With poor cut quality, slag will also accumulate on this product.
-
Is the compressor supplying enough air?
-
Are the air ducts clogged?
-
Why does my plasma cutter sputter?
Is the relief valve for a particular air filter set correctly?
Troubleshooting Hypertherm Plasma Torch
All torches require three pilot arc power supplies (gas plasma, direct current, high frequency alternating current). Most importantly, if you’re having trouble getting your router up and running, check out the pilot arc:
- Raise it a few inchess from the material.
- Turn on the lights. In a few seconds, your business flow should see an arc shape.
- The arc should probably be straight and even.
- Repeat this often.
If you cannot achieve a stable and consistent pilot arc, or if the flash fires intermittently. You may have a severe headache at first.
Hard start
- Insufficient RF (high voltage spark)
Take a close look at the electrodes, are they dirty, covered with moisture or metal dust? If it needs cleaning, try blowing it out with an air hose. Some people use a wire brush on the tip of their flashlight after every use.
- Too much compressed air
Check compressed air. If the pressure is too high, the flight arc will practically strike before it can form.
- Power LED is on.
- Air was entering the torch when the trigger was pulled.
- But there was no arc, no good cut.
One or more of the internalcomponents. Sai-cutter is silent under warranty. Call the manufacturer (do not open it as this will void the warranty).
Oven pressure too high.Air pressure too low.Poor contact between the grounding conductor and the workpiece.Burner nozzles and burned electrodes. As a rule, the spark generator cannot automatically interrupt the arc.The AC input voltage is quite low.Another.
However, if the device has a preliminary warranty and you are used to these things, after opening it, turn off the electricity and look for damaged parts. Some of the more common ones are:
- Burnt diode
- Leakage capacitor (which oozes above),
- Blown up to resistance,
- the relay is broken,
- The chip / MOSFET is broken (part of the microcircuit is removed).
Well, run the machine for wear before touching any metal parts.
Find out your favorite scatter points. The problem is likely that the spark gap needs to be increased by about 0.040 inches to increase the ignition voltage on your torch.
The pad that touches all electrodes can move away from the air under the pressure of the electrode. A spring on the main shaft of the pad can overcome the air hardness and push the pad straight away from the electrode. Spring actionIt can get hot, which means that the connector cannot come into contact with the electrode again after releasing the main switch. The pad should be able to touch the electrode whenever air pushes it away from the electrode. Space is created, which causes electrons to circulate through space in order to transfer them to the plasma to be generated and circulate again. Replace the spring.
The cutting nozzle has a second set of channels. These channels release a constant flow of shielding gas around the cutting area. Symptoms are often that the plasma torch does not fire the metal arc, or the arc suddenly starts and stops while cutting.
Make sure it is really clean and properly adjusted. I hope this helps you.
Remove the cover and inspect the inside of this lower front of the device and hold the torch switch to see if there is a spark in the particular device. If you cannot see any other sparks inside the device when you hold the torch trigger, then something is wrong with your bottom board.
Notice the new resistor behind the arc and standing upright. Remove the skateboard desoldering attachment and install a new one. Hope it works.
I am using an Everlast PowerPlasma 80S plasma cutter. I want to Take 1/8 inch hot rolled steel.
You can see the height of the gauge on the face of the plasma cutter. It is set fairly low at first, around 15 psi.

- Press the button to make sure the adjuster is tightened.
- Decrease amperage to 20 amps at 60 psi.
