2 days and nights before formatting my Windows 08 SP2 server system and reinstalling the same operating system. In my office I have an Aficio network printer (Ricoh MP C2030) that can also be used as a computer printer and as a scanner. I have successfully installed the appropriate print driver on my system.
I also installed the scanner driver (driverTWAIN) which I received several times from their official site. But I cannot scan documents from printers on my computer. I used to scan documents from MS Word on a printer. The tactics of M.S. was:
- Open word
- Press ALT + IPS.
- Scanner Timeslot will open in Word.
But now when I press ALT + IPS, MS Word crashes. How to scan with Ricoh Aficio MP Still c2030?
but I cannot use the scanner. Other computers on the “network” can use the scanner.

Usually, on the [Start] menu, point to Programs], [All Points to DeskTopBinder, and then click DeskTopBinder.
On the [Tools] menu, click Settings [Scanner …].

Click [Select Scanner Driver …].

Select the name of the purifier you want to use for authentication,then click [Select].

Insert originals.

On the [File] menu, click [Add Document], and then click [Scan …] to open the scanner control dialog box.

The dialog box used to control the code reader using the TWAIN driver is called the Scanner Control dialog box.

In the Scanner Controls dialog box, click [Scan].
Depending on your security settings, if it turns out that you clicked [Scan], a dialog box may appear to enter your username and password.
If you want to scan more originals, insert the next original, and then just click [Next].
If there is no scan left, click [Finish].

SpecialistOn the [File] menu of the DeskTopBinder viewer, click [Exit].

Enter the file name, then [OK].
DeskTopBinder Viewer will close and the image will be saved in DeskTopBinder Lite.

If you currently have a scanner selected, you do not need to select a scanner unless you want to change it.

The model ID of the connected scanner is displayed in the title bar of the dialog box of the scanner control display field. If you have multiple scanners of the same model on this network, make sure you select all the correct scanners. If you did not fully click [Select Scanner Driver …], click the scanner again. If the scanner does not appear in the list with the correct performance, unfortunately, check which scanner is properly connected to that network and if its IPv4 address is listed. If the scanner you want is not showing today, contact your local administrator.

The model name of the connected drive is usually displayed in the title bar of the Scanner Control dialog box. If you have multiple scanners of the same model on your network, make sure you select the correct scanner. If your company did not click [Select Scanner Driver …], then select the scanner again. If the scanner you want does not appear on the specific list, make sure the scanner is properly connected to the network and the IPv4 address is specified. If the scanner you want is still not displayed, contact your network administrator.
