Some users told us last week that they are meeting the French type in Windows XP.

On the Languages tab, click Details. Under Installed Services, click Add. In the Input Language list, select the terms you want. For example, select French (Canada).
Write In French
If you’re a Windows user in the US *, the best way to highlight accents is to use the international keyboard. Again, this does not require a new keyboard or software, simple enough fromchanging the control panel.

- Adds the ability to enter accents and quotation marks (French characters)
- No quotes between keyboard layouts
- Works on desktop and laptop computers.
- If you want to enter an apostrophe or double quotation mark instead of an actual accented vowel, you must enter a blank area after pressing these keys.
- Unable to use Å “ligature – most require ALT code.
How To Use The International Keyboard
After making the necessary changes to the control panel, you must now enter an auxiliary character, which will then be marked with a letter:

To use an international computer to enter a French accent, you need to do so when selecting a keyboard layout that is marked as English (international):
