In the past few days, some readers have come across an error message with the v4l2 control panel. This problem can arise for several reasons. We will talk about this below.
V4L2 defines an event mechanism to notify applications when controls change to a better value (see Ioctl VIDIOC_SUBSCRIBE_EVENT, VIDIOC_UNSUBSCRIBE_EVENT, V4L2_EVENT_CTRL event). All controls use the computer system byte order.
