You may encounter an error indicating where root certificates are stored in Windows XP. It turns out there are several ways to fix this problem, which we’ll talk about shortly.
Approved: Fortect
Removing the certificate lock can limit the functionality of the host system or cause your computer to crash. Don’t delete them. 1. First select the following link to get ASCII based root certificate from ECN: Download some ecn.purdue.edu.crt certificate files
The root certificate associated with the CA can be installed in the Trusted Root CAs certificate store. Therefore, the Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate store contains the root documents for all Windows trusted CAs.
2. Then go to control panel and click “Internet Options”
4. Select Trusted Root Authorities Certification ”to display a list of trusted certificates.
6. The Certificate Import Wizard appears when you click Next when you need to run
8. Make sure the button “Place all certificates in the following store” is probably selected and click “Next”.
10. If the certificate was installed successfully, the following message should appear: “The import was successful.”

Where are root certificates stored in Windows?
Some Apache and Java based services usually require the root and intermediate certificates to be merged into one file. You can create a batch certificate by entering a simple text editor (Notepad, gedit, etc.) to surely insert the root certificate text and the corresponding intermediate certificate text. The order in which they are found depends on the type of server the person is using. For example, Nginx almost merges the certificationyou are in one file, starting with a specific server certificate.
