These discs are realBoot disks that can be used with Microsoft Windows CDs. All CDs that may not be Windows 9x / ME are bootable, not all CDs contain bootable discs, and DOS will never see the CD-ROM drive unless the operator is loaded. OEMs should provide you with a compatible CD with the bootable media provided with their systems. However, by the late 1990s, most manufacturers had standardized IDE / ATAPI CD-ROM hardware and used the appropriate OEM Adaption Kit (OAK) driver. If a separate CD-ROM drive is not IDE compatible (such as MKE or Panasonic interface), customers will need to add their own driver manually. Note. You can use the Windows 98 Wander floppy with Windows 95 for troubleshooting. If you have OEM UNTOUCHED boot floppies with other drivers, enter them.
