Try to run the last known configuration
- Start your computer and / or press F8 at the BIOS screen. Finally,
- from the Windows Advanced Settings Menu, select Known Good Configuration (your most recent projects).
- If your computer still won’t start, go to the next section.

Repair Windows Installation Using Recovery Console
- Boot from a known Windows XP installation CD (not a network installation CD).
- On the initial setup screen, visit R to use the recovery consoleto restore Windows.
- Select the Windows installation you might want to repair by specifying its frequency and pressing Enter.
- In the Recovery Console, categorize each one by following the commands. via .Enter:
- CD …
- ATTRIB -HC: boot.ini
- ATTRIB -SC: boot.ini
- ATTRIB -RC: boot.ini
- del boot.ini
- BOOTCFG / Rebuild
- Set Boot ID: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Set the operating system boot parameters / noexecute = optin to: / fastdetect
- CHKDSK / R
- FIXBOOT
- Enter exit to restart the host computer.
- If the computer still does not start immediately, back up the data from the hard disk, if possible, and transfer the component to one of the available locations.

How to repair Windows XP in 8 commands?
The process is simple: go to the Windows Recovery Console for a detailed Windows setup, go to the root web page of your installation (in many cases C :), run eight commands, and reboot.
With the Recovery Console, you can simply do the following:
- Manipulate the system (copy, rename files, replace, etc.)
- Enable or disable startup websites (services that start automatically at startup)

The Recovery Console can only be used as a system administrator or as a custom scope of the Administrators group.

You have the following options to access the Recovery Console:
- Use a new Windows XP installation CD, if you still have one.
- If you have a Recovery Console installed on your system, select it from the boot options menu.
- Use Easy Recovery Essentials to access the command line and execute specific Recovery Console commands.
If You Have An Installation CD
If your company has an original Windows XP installation CD, follow these steps to access the Recovery Console:
- Start a new computer.
- Insert the Windows XP CD
- Go to message. Press any key for shoes or boots from CD.
- From the main configuration screen, press R :
To use Recovery Console to repair your installed Windows XP, press R.
