Fixed: How To Fix The Witcher Minimum System Requirements Error

 

If you see an error message stating the minimum system requirements of The Witcher on your computer, you should check out these recovery methods.

Approved: Fortect

To get Windows:
To work around this problem, go to the game folder: (…) The Witcher System witcher.exe and create a shortcut with Hexer zu.exe.
right click any shortcut and go to its properties. In the Target text box next to the policy type:
-dontForceMinReqs
There must be a space between this path and the switch, like here:
“(…) System witcher. Exe ”- dontForceMinReqs, Confirm by clicking OK. Those Now, if you launch such a game using this shortcut, the witcher will really stop announcing that the minimum requirements should not be met.

Side effects. A side effect of using this switch is that the texture quality ring parameter can no longer be used. Using this low resolution texture might help now.

I don’t know why I am getting this error. Twelve months later, I got a new laptop. I know a laptop is not your average high-powered laptop, but the game was originally released in 2008. I tried to find a solution in other threads but couldn’t understand a word of what they were talking about, it all sounded like gibberish if I read it out loud. I tried GOG despite the same problem. I did follow the instructions from one of those dedicated support articles that were easier to use, but the game never opened. I won’t get an error, but I will definitely look at my desktop. I am currently working on getting a refund for the whole group, So I would rather not go back and get it back.

I would be grateful to everyone who can help launch the game on Steam normally.
