In the past few days, some of our users have encountered a well-known error message that says that an incorrectly formatted image for the bootm command can get a kernel image. This problem can arise for several reasons. Let’s discuss it now.
I try when you need to create a flash image of petelinux version 2016.4. I have the following hassle-free petalinux thread where you build a project, configure options, build it, and then package it into a bootable image. The problem was always that when I loaded it into the QSPI flash I was getting the above error. The complete download log can be viewed below:
U-Boot 2016.07 (06/18/2018 - 14:32:51 -0400)DRAM: ECC disables 512MBSF: N25Q256 recognized with 256 byte erase page size measured in 4KiB, 32MB total*** Warning - Incorrect CRC, using standard environmentConsistentlyOff: serialError : serial numberU-BOAT forPress any button to stop automatic start: 0SF: N25Q256, machine recognized 256 byte strips pages, 4KiB size, 32 million integersDevice offset 0 0xe00000, total size 0xa80000SF: 11010048 bytes @ 0xe00000 Read: OKWrong image format for bootm commandERROR: Failed to get kernel image!Zynq>
I’m pretty sure some of the configuration options for loading QSPI are wrong. I looked to get a working image for each SD card (it was a modern version of Petalinux though). I did the really fun basics and set the kernel and boot image settings on the main flash to match the current boot image settings. Not only do I have the option of choosing an SD card. I also tried suggesting this one-way link as I am trying to include an absolute bitstream file in the boot image.
I am working on installing Linux on this special OMAP-L138 board and profit is definitely going to run into some hurdles.
Failed to find network in custom table. The poety we suggest to copy one file which is displayed by changing the value of the flash (sft) code. This is the most efficient option at the moment.
This file contains the following at the specified addresses when blinking
The kernel image and filesystem may have an offset of 0x10000.
I checked which files were copied in these conversations by reading them into RAM and comparing the files.
I’m trying to train Flashboot, the command starts images without sound, I can’t.
setenv flashboot – setenv bootargs console = ttyS2,115200n8 root = / dev / ram0 rw initrd $ A; SF 0 probe ;; sf reads $ A $ B $ S; sf read $ L $ K $ ks; bootm $ L ‘
Sf read $ L $ K -> Read kernel image $ ks into $ L
I get a bad CRC warning and Ethernet initialization error because the network is down.
I read somewhere that it has to do with unsaved environment variables.
I would be sincerely grateful to everyone if they can provide any suggestions / procedures or request additional information.

Boot and restart failures may be caused by damagem file, damage to the file system, a working internal error of the Compact Flash shuttle, or an error in any of the components used to communicate with the CF player.
With the netinstall routine you can use shoes or tftp from a USB stick. After this download, you will have the actual command line “bash-2.04 #”. At this BASH prompt, you can run Badblocks on that particular Compact Flash player as a whole. Follow the blocks for the bath as follows.
bash-2.04 # badblocks -sv / dev / sda
If Badblocks crashes and no errors are found, you can completely restore the device by continuing Netinstall to the end.
If Badblocks generates error messages, such as when tracking a product, contact support for help and recommend this item. ESC
