Disconnect The Current

Cut the circuit with the home breaker to the OFF position to completely shut off the power to help the dishwasher (some older houses have a huge fuse instead, which you remove from the main fuse box). Make sure the power is off and the display on the control panel does not turn on.

Remove The Inner Door Panel

Remove the Torx screws from the inner door panel on the front part of the dishwasher door.

Remove the screws from the inside of the panel.

Disable Controls From The Control Panel

Flip the current control panel forward and downward. Note how the wire harness connects to this electrical Control Panel – The harness usually has some sort of latch or similar mechanism to make room. The locking tab also separates the control panel from the wiring harness.

Tip: On some models, a wide lace is permanently attached to control the control panel. In this case, disconnect the ribbon cable from the control panel.

Some dishwashers have a second additional cable for the control panel. Remove all cable connections from the control panel by removing the control panel from the main dishwasher.

Disconnect the other cable if your main dishwasher has more than one.
