Windows Diary

I just received your new HP w2207 22-inch LCD Monitor … and was very happy to install it. After I “installed” the new monitor drivers, I noticed that Vista refused to use them. The monitor’s USB ports were not working and clearly not all colors were available. I understand that this is a pilot question.

So. I came from UAC … just in case and headed to device manager … right click my analyzer driver and update the driver. When the update starts, I’m just told that most of them are “Access Denied.” I’ve tried quite a bit, firstI’ve tried everything, including the Microsoft “fix”, and now I’m not going to reinstall Vista, giving 5 hours per minute of the kitchen zone updating from my monitor. It’s just not satisfying and I really start to get worried about it at the end.

driver update access denied

Why is there no documentation? Nothing to help people.

What else can I do? I would do this to take advantage of my new $ 300 purchase.
