- MetroCard Pay-Per-Ride (regular). Go to the ticket office at the station and ask the station employee to transfer your money to a new card. Generally, if the card is too damaged to be read by an agent, it should be mailed to NYC Transit.
- MetroCard Unlimited Ride forIt must be mailed to NYC Replacement Transit. Receive full valid credit for the remaining time on your personal card, the envelope must be stamped no later than one day after the malfunction occurs. Sundays and holidays are not mentioned.
Whether it’s a paid ride or an unlimited ride, it looks like every MetroCard has an expiration date. The date is indeed in the upper left corner of the back of the card. The shelf life is usually around one year from the date of purchase.
When Pay-Per-Ride terminates your MetroCard, you have two years from the date of termination to transfer the remaining funds to the new card. The MetroCard machine can transfer credit to a new card within the first year after the end of use. After this period, the MetroCard must be sent to MetroCard customer files. Ask the station agent for the correct prepaid business response envelope.

MetroCard lost due to theft
MetroCard Pay-Per-Ride cannot be replaced if this job is lost or stolen. For example, buy him money. The following MetroCards can be replaced:
- EasyPayXpress and EasyPay MetroCard at discounted prices. Call EasyPay Account Center immediately at 1-877-323-7433 if your card is stolen or lost. You can also submit your request online. - 30-day Unlimited MetroCard and 7-day MetroCard Bus. These cards provide balance protection when purchased with any credit or debit / ATM card.
- The cost of MetroCard has been reduced. Call 511 and we will deactivate your MetroCard and give you a new one with the rate of stay at the time of deactivation. Wait two-trand weeks until you get a new card for your calling card. You can also request the file online.
Call 511 for help from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week.
