I have a weird problem with PonyProg that happens quite often:
I have a followernew connection with Atmel STK200 through original STK200 dongle and PonyProg2000 as a programmer in the latest version.
When I try to program an Atmel 90S2313 or ATtiny2313 (others not tested), I get an error from PonyProg “Missing device or unknown device (-24)”.
All parameters, cable connections, microcontrollers, COM are ok.
Everything works fine with two controllers of my HP VL420 vectra (1.7 GHz Pentium 4). If you are using your current device with the new HP Dc700 Compaq (3.4 GHz Pentium D), you will still see the above error.
I don’t think this is a problem with the external hardware, it is a problem with the operating system (WinXP Prof SP3) or possibly with the PC.
Does anyone have any idea how to get a job?
