In the past few days, some users have encountered a known bug in Service Pack v5r3. There are a number of factors that can cause this problem. We will discuss this below.

If you are currently installing Service Pack SI67278 or higher, you do not need to follow these steps. Starting with SI67278, the Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 dependency has been removed.

For all IBM i Access for Windows service packs available after April 2, 2012 and prior to SI67278, Microsoft security updates must be installed before installing the Access service pack. Updates are specifically sent by email to address security issues related to Microsoft C ++ Visual ’05 Service Pack 1. While we do not believe there is security transparency for current or previous customer support packages, IBM is following Microsoft’s best practices and furthermore, this update is secure.must be installed before installing the customer service plan packages.
NOTE.
If you have a 64-bit course, in addition to installing the excellent vcredist_XXXX.exe file for your 64-bit system, someone will need to install vcredist_x86.exe (32-bit) as IBM i Access Windows will work for both 32- and and for the 64-bit version. programs on a 64-bit PC.

You can install this update at any time before installing the next service pack for I ibm Access da Windows. The update is compatible with preexisting versions of IBM Access i available for Windows. Please plan to apply this to your application installation prior to the next help package.
After you have installed this Microsoft security system for the time being, you can proceed with installing the future service pack for IBM i Access to keep Windows the way you see fit.
