This user guide will point out some of the potential causes that could lead to Sony Vaio 403 System Restore error, and then suggest possible solutions that you can try to fix the problem.

|332||Unable to format another section.||Please remove any additional devices and / or try recovery again from the current recovery area or using recovery media. If the problem persists, run the Erase Critical Information Tool from the recovery media, erase the data from the hard drive, and then try again with the recovery media. If possible, run a diagnostic test on the RAM electronics to determine if the RAM is out of order.|
|333||An attempt to create a nice solid section failed.||Remove any additional devices and try recovery again from the recovery area or by usingcarrier for recovery. If the problem persists, run the recovery media removal tool, delete the data file from the hard drive, and try again with the recovery media. If possible, run the RAM Tools diagnostic test to see if the RAM is out of order.|
|336||An attempt to delete a section may have failed.||Please remove any additional devices and then try recovering from the recovery corner or recovery media again. If the problem persists, start erasing the recovery media, erase most of the data on the hard drive, and then check the recovery media again. If so, run a RAM hardware diagnostic test to see if the RAM is out of order.|
|385||A media recovery read error has occurred.||Remove any additional devices and then rebuild the media again to get the recovery RAID|
|393||configuration has been changed.||Return conf Run the RAID to RAID 0 and try rebuilding.|
|396||A format error has occurred on your hard drive.||Remove all devices a little more, then try recovering outside of the recovery area, or use the recovery media again. If the problem persists, run the Recovery Media Erase Tool, erase the data on the hard drive, and then try again with the recovery media.|
|400||This is a RAM error.||The RAM needs to be replaced.|
|403||Attempting to allow recovery to a new hard drive, also known as a hard drive without partitions,||Restart your computer from the recovery CD. In the VAIO Recovery Center window, select “Complete System Restore” and then select “Skip”. The error occurs when you choose an option other than a Whole System Restore. The 403 error code is definitely not a hardware error code and will help prevent the problem from being resolved.|
